Zerg's Best Counter Units
Playing against Terran: When playing against a good Terran player you must be ready to change which unit you are using at a second's notice. The key to beating a good Terran player is having the right units at the right time. Marines and Marauders - build speed upgraded zerglings and banelings Tanks and Thors - Why just build some infestors of course and turn those tanks back on the Terran player
Banshees and Vikings - Build hydralisks and corruptors and you will not have any trouble controlling the air
The colossus can wreak havoc on a Zerg player if he is not ready. Below I have included the main units that a Protoss player will use and which Zerg unit is the best to taking it out. Zealots and Stalkers - Again just build speed upgraded zerglings and banelings, roaches and hydralisks will also do the trick:
Immortals - The key to beating an immortal is without question a speed upgraded zergling attack
Colossus - Either get infestors or corruptors but do not attack this unit with zerglings roaches or hydralisks, as the colossus will make short work of them

Mastering the Art of Zergling Harassment
As a Zerg player we have the ability and need to harass our opponent. So to win in the top levels against good diamond players we must out produce them. We can't compete with units like the colossus or thor unless we simply overwhelm them with hydralisks or roaches. Harassment is a major way for us to keep our enemy from expanding. The best way to harass is by using speed upgraded zerglings and maybe a few banelings as well. I generally build up an army of zerglings while I wait for the speed upgrade and then send them to harass while I expand. The best thing to do is take your zerglings and run right by their army to the workers. You can do this fairly easily because the speed upgrade makes your zerglings much faster then anything they have. Continue using the zerglings to keep your opponent on the defense until you have a good-sized hydralisk army.
The Strengths and Weaknesses of Zerg
So you are thinking about playing Zerg in Starcraft 2? Zerg is a very fun race to play because they are designed to be a mass-producing type of race. Unlike Protoss and Terran a Zerg player needs to have a constant stream of units being produced and sent into battle. The Terran and Protoss races are all about making the best units to counter whatever they are fighting. Zerg is like this as well but not to the degree that Terran and Protoss are. We also have weaker air attack units then the other races. Mutalisks are good at scouting but do poorly in battles against good anti air units so we mainly use ground units for the large attacks. Overall I love playing Zerg but they are hard to learn and you must good at managing the chaos which is just part of playing the Zerg.

Terran Vs Terran Basic Strategy
First consider an aggressive move to Siege Tanks. After completing your first barracks move straight to building a factory. You'll want to get a couple marines to ward off harassing reapers. Also throw down a second refinery. As soon as your factory is complete move into building a Starport. While your Starport is being constructed attach a Fusion Reactor to your Factory. Next lift your completed Starport onto the Fusion Reactor and quickly make two Vikings to counter enemy banshees. When your Tech Lab on your Factory finishes begin building tanks quickly, also you'll want to research siege mode for your tanks as soon as you can. Tanks and Mauraders can make a deadly combination. However you'll want to have a formidable amount of Vikings present to counter air attacks. Remember to upgrade to Stim Packs for your Mauraders. Another effective method is to harass your enemy while solidly expanding. Once your Factory finishes start making Hellions and Mauraders. If your enemy is playing towards and early expansion your Hellions will be effective at countering that with their speed. You can throw down another Barracks and mass some Marines and Mauraders to cover you while you expand. If your harassing is successful at retreating your enemy then I would recommend an aggressive build with another Barracks and Factory along with a Starport for Dropships and anti-air support.
Protoss Vs Zerg Basic Strategy
Playing against a good Zerg player can be challenging but with the right units a Protoss player can dominate. This guide will show you how to beat a Zerg player 1v1 by using the right unit counters and scouting techniques.
Of course there is one other major option that a Zerg player can use and that is building infestors. A good Zerg player with infestors can be a big problem for us so keep an eye out for these and if you see them coming the smartest thing to do is build some air units such as void rays or phoenix to handle the infestors from the air. If you follow this guide and learn the strenghts and weaknesses of your units then beating even a very good Zerg player can be a breeze.
